August has honestly flown by and it's been another busy month on the Ben Hemming bandwagon. It all got off to a great start with a fantastic review in Blues Matters Magazine. Who had this to say about my new album: “Ben Hemming... is to be congratulated on producing a fairly visceral and gut-wrenching musical experience that has blues overtones but is in reality a pretty unique form which doesn’t fall into any pigeon hole.” The album 'The Devil Beside Me' is out now, listen here: https://fanlink.to/bQbM I was also lucky enough to be invited to play at this years Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne. It was a busy couple of days with Saturday spent busking and playing in the evening and Sunday doing a live session and interview for BBC Lancashire Bluenotes, but well worth the visit! You can listen to the show here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07jhrtw There also a chance for you to help me take part in next years festival by voting for me as a favourite act. Please show your support by voting here: https://www.bluesfestival.co.uk/vote/roadhouse-vote/ My second radio appearance of the month was for BBC Radio London on the Sunny & Shay Show. It was great to play a couple of my songs live on air and chat with the guests they had on the show, Comedian Rachel Creeger and satirist Nels Abbey. If you missed it listen again here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07kh20v And last but t by no means least I'm happy to announce the winner of last months competition to win a signed vinyl of my new album. Congratulations to Sharon Robertson who will be receiving it in the post soon!
