Built around Hemming’s weathered vocals, atmospheric guitar work and stark lyrical imagery, Dark Deals moves through a landscape populated by sinners, false prophets, devils and damaged men. It is an album concerned with the bargains people make with themselves, the truths they choose to ignore and the consequences that remain when the illusion begins to fall apart.

Rooted in blues and Americana, while carrying the weight and scale of classic alternative rock, the record combines stripped-back acoustic passages with distorted guitars, heavy rhythms and a dark cinematic atmosphere. Across the album, Hemming’s writing remains deeply personal while drawing upon larger themes of mortality, spirituality and moral decline.
